Like many of you out there, I have felt conflicted in dealing with our ever-changing, albeit temporary, new reality. Covid-19 has already changed the way we interact, communicate and do business.
We used to remark: “How things have changed in a year!”, and now, it seems like things change hourly. I had my first Zoom call last week, and now, it seems like it’s never off!
I’m sure many of you are on an information overload right now; I have started to write this many times in the past week, but I finally felt inspired to complete it.
It’s so important for all of us to stay motivated and to keep our teams positive.
Earlier this week, I asked my team to think of ways that Innovatex, as a company, could help others in a time of need. We discovered a nurse at Toronto General Hospital was asking for waterproof phone cases for ICU colleagues. As we all know, our phones carry all sorts of germs and waterproof phone cases could help prevent the spread of the virus, as healthcare workers carry them to and from their homes.
Many of you will have received our Innovatex phone cases or have ordered your own. They are always great for use near the water, but we hadn’t considered the value of having one as a medical professional.
We were thrilled to share the ones we had in stock and have reached out to our factory, and they’ve confirmed they will ship blank cases – for medical use – immediately, once our supply has diminished. We have also reached out to other essential caregivers (nurses, doctors, paramedics), as we think they can benefit from these products as well. Please let us know if there is anyone else who could use one.
Many of you know first-hand that when an order seems impossible, there is nothing we love more than to pull a rabbit out of a hat to make it happen. This is definitely one of those times -- with factory updates changing daily – but as always, we are up for the challenge!
Some clients have reached out looking for ways to motivate their team at home, in their warehouses and the front lines. Comfort, check-ins and just showing you care is so important right now and of course, we are always happy to help. Popular requests have included: hot and cold microwave packs, mouse pads with team photos, headphones, cooking sets, board games, as well as personalized items. Surprise porch drops bring welcome smiles to both the recipient and the giver! How are you helping to motivate your team and the people around you?
Our Innovatex team has been doing daily work-outs challenges, spelling company names – thank you to everyone who challenged us this week. We would love it if you joined us! Innovatex Home Office Challenge
Personally, I’m focusing on the little things: teaching my kids to make pies, practicing our hockey shorts, virtual work-outs with the team and admiring the golden finch returning to my yard. (Would really love to see an Oriole--if anyone has any tricks!!)
And of course, lots of Zoom calls keep me connected to you and your projects; as long as my sweatshirt says Innovatex, I’m appropriately dressed for any meeting, right?!
Sending best wishes to you and your business. Stay well and of course, let us know if we can help in anyway at all.
Ann Baiden
