When was the last time you broke the rules? Now, we’re not suggesting you go and do something illegal, but if there’s ever a time to break a rule, this is it.
Everything we once considered “normal” has changed. Including some well-established practices in our industry.
“Inboard/Outboard Imprinting” is a phrase we use in the biz to describe your logo location on a mug. The logo that faces away from you is “Outboard”, and the logo that faces towards you is “Inboard.” Great.
Typically, it is assumed the majority of mug users are right-handed, and therefore, the logo placement and message should face them when the handle is in their right hand. But 2021 is telling us NO – in order to get proper visibility of your logo, especially due to online and virtual events and panels – the message needs to be Outboard.
We agree. And it’s definitely something to think about given our current circumstances. Even if you’re decorating 2 sides or using a wrap, consider which message is dominant and how it is seen by others.
Maximize your advertising dollars and your message by ensuring it is seen by everyone at your virtual event. Contact us to learn more or to place an order.
