Even Swaggers Love Getting Swag!

The excitement over new swag begins (all over again)

 

That moment when you sit down for a supplier presentation and realize that even after close to 20 years surrounded by swag every day you still get excited when you receive it!   Not only are we excited to receive this form of advertisement but rather than flipping the channel or scrolling a little faster we actually thank the advertiser for sharing it with us!

 

We all had our favs!  They’re just so cool!

 

I found it amusing that while our office is filled with drinkware in all shapes and sizes, the colour of the bottle we each received quickly became a negotiation.   Each recipient was vying for their personal favorite!    Quickly, the conversation then turned to how we were going to use the newly received treasures.  Discussions about trying the new bbq spatula,  how handy it would be to have the bottle opener feature on it, how it felt more substantial  than the image looked, and whether the colouring book could be customized to include our clients designs soon filled the air.

 

If we still get excited..we can only imagine how you feel!

 

If we, as promotional products distributors with access to every branded product imaginable are still excited to receive swag it tells me that the following is true:

 

-promotional products work

 

-promotional products are used and kept for more than a year by 81% of the population

 

-we love what we do!

 

-being a “swagger” is never boring!

But we were most excited about this…

It’s not really surprising that the water bottle garnered the most attention from us.   In 2017, the drinkware category has moved into second place, behind wearables for highest promotional product sales as a category.  Think about it.  How often are you without some kind of beverage?

More than once I have been teased for the number of pieces of drinkware I leave the house with in the morning.   My smoothie tumbler, an insulated travel mug for my tea and of course my favorite water bottle of the moment, featuring good old H2O!!  I know I’m not the only one who regularly has drinkware with them.  This makes it an amazing place to keep your logo visible and on the minds of your customers.

Did you know that 88% of people remember the advertiser on a promotional product?  That’s huge!!  Even better.. 83% of the recipients do business with the advertiser on the product!!

Keep in mind that if the recipient is keeping your promotional product for more than a year, it is creating an impression about your brand.  It is therefore critical that the product you select is in line with your brand and the image you wish to portray.   As professional swaggers we are excited to help you align the perfect product to your corporate image- just don’t try to take the water bottle we want!
