Women Supporting Women: The Power of Lifting Each Other Up
On International Women’s Day, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect on the power of women supporting women.
At Innovatex Solutions, this idea isn’t just something we talk about once a year. It’s something we live every day—in our workplace, in our partnerships, and in the community we serve.
For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside remarkable women: entrepreneurs, leaders, creatives, mentors, and advocates. What I’ve learned is simple, but powerful—when women support each other, incredible things happen.
Support can take many forms. Sometimes it’s mentorship or advice at the right moment. Sometimes it’s collaboration, encouragement, or opening a door for someone else to step through. And sometimes it’s simply recognizing another woman’s work and celebrating her success.
As a woman-owned business, I proudly participate in various associations such as WPO (Women Presidents Organization), WBE (Women Business Enterprises) Canada, WeConnect, and act as a Scotiabank Woman’s Initiative mentor.
I’ve seen firsthand how powerful these networks can be. Through mentorship programs, industry partnerships, and community initiatives, women across industries are helping each other navigate challenges, build confidence, and reach new levels of success.
Further, we are proud to support various causes and charities that assist women and girls, from Yellow Brick House to women’s sports leagues and clubs.
International Women’s Day is a celebration, but it’s also a reminder of the work still ahead. Creating opportunities, amplifying voices, and fostering environments where women can thrive takes intention and commitment. One of the simplest ways to make a difference is by supporting the women around us—whether that’s through mentorship, collaboration, or simply choosing to champion one another.
Because when women lift each other up, we all rise.
